Position Summary: The Logistics Account Executive plays a crucial role in managing the freight operations for designated shipping accounts. This role is pivotal in establishing customer trust, enhancing company capabilities, and achieving superior gross net revenue/profit. Responsibilities encompass freight sales, customer pricing, carrier negotiations, and operational management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a consultative resource for clients, providing insights on service offerings, market dynamics, and industry benchmarks while delivering competitive quotes.
  • Develop tailored strategies and solutions to address the unique challenges faced by each client.
  • Provide quotes for both spot and contractual freight opportunities.
  • Foster and maintain strong customer relationships, driving growth on assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing with carriers and build a robust carrier network for specific lanes.
  • Oversee both broker and customer service functions for assigned shipments and accounts.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding payment issues, operational concerns, and customer needs.
  • Adhere to established operating procedures and protocols.
  • Respond proactively to the needs of other company departments.
  • Deliver cost-effective solutions prioritizing the long-term interests of the customer.
  • Achieve individual goals that contribute to the agency's annual objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in logistics, sales, or account management is required.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the freight brokerage and trucking sectors.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills characterized by persuasiveness, confidence, and resilience.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in time management and self-motivation, capable of working independently.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet performance metrics.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Compensation:

  • Base salary plus uncapped commissions, with a target annual income ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 or more.
