Job Title: Registered Nurse - Acute Care for Elderly

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care that supports older adults facing acute illness.

Our focus is on maintaining function, providing education, and ensuring patient safety. You will engage in a genuine relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients and families, as well as with your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

Responsibilities include managing a team of 5 medical patients per shift and working with a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulted physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel.

Requirements:
  • BSN required
  • ADNs candidates are required to commit to obtaining BSN within three years of the date of hire
  • Qualified applicants will have at least one year of experience
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with older adults
  • Gerontology Certification preferred
  • BLS required
