Industrial HVAC/R Technician III Job Description

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Industrial HVAC/R Technician III to join our team in Greenville, SC.

Job Summary:

The Industrial HVAC/R Technician III will be responsible for providing expert-level maintenance and repair services for industrial HVAC/R equipment, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial HVAC/R equipment, including pumps, fans, rooftop AHUs, split systems, compressors, and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits, including 24VAC/DC and up to 480V, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Utilize building automation systems to track building conditions and equipment operation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Safely perform all duties, following proper safety guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience as an HVAC maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
  • EPA Type 1 certification.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical school diploma in industrial electrical, industrial mechanical, HVAC, or a related skilled trade.
  • Experience working with electrical voltage up to 480V 3 phase.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Experience repairing and installing sheet metal as related to air handling systems.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
