Medication Technician Job Description

As a Medication Technician at Brookdale Senior Living, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to administer or assist with the self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider. You will also be responsible for observing and reporting responses to your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider
  • Observe and report responses to your supervisor
  • Ensure the medication supply room is organized and clean
  • Assist with medication cart audits and provide accurate counts of all medications
  • Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery
Requirements:
  • Completion of required training/certification
  • State regulation compliance
