Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Record Management Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a key member of our Centralized Record Control Center (CRCC), you will be responsible for the retrieval, delivery, and refiling of paper medical records for all hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and return records from various physical locations, including regular bulk deliveries
  • Process requests for the paper record by running eCare pull lists and email requests received
  • Coordinate the prompt flow, transfer, and retrieval of hospital paper medical records between record control locations and the requesting location
  • Perform a diligent search to locate all paper records requested, with an understanding of how records are cataloged/indexed at the offsite storage warehouse
  • Utilize the offsite storage warehouse record tracking system to carefully order and update records for various sites, ensuring the appropriate priority and delivery location are selected
  • Promptly investigate record location problems brought to the attention of the CRCC via telephone, in writing, or in person, and communicate results in a timely manner or escalate unresolved issues appropriately
  • Maintain paper records onsite, taking care to prevent misfiles and keep shelves clean/clear for easy future retrieval
  • Record daily incoming volume received and productivity of volume of work completed on a daily basis
  • Carefully and diligently enter/update the location of all patient records
  • Maintain a knowledge of eCare's ADT (admission, discharge, transfer) Module to determine patient stays, discharges, etc.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Entry-level experience
