Job Summary

As a Record Management Specialist at Randstad, you will play a crucial role in the Centralized Record Control Center (CRCC). Your primary responsibility will be to retrieve, deliver, and refile paper medical records for various hospital sites. You will work closely with the HIM Record Management team leads and/or manager to ensure timely return of patient health records.

Key Responsibilities

Retrieve and return records from various physical locations, including regular bulk deliveries
Process requests for paper records by running eCare pull lists and email requests received
Coordinate the prompt flow, transfer, and retrieval of hospital paper medical records between record control locations and the requesting location
Perform a diligent search to locate all paper records requested, understanding how records are cataloged/indexed at the offsite storage warehouse
Utilize the offsite storage warehouse record tracking system to order and update records for various sites, ensuring the appropriate priority and delivery location are selected
Investigate record location problems and communicate results in a timely manner or escalate unresolved issues to the team lead and/or manager
Maintain paper records onsite, preventing misfiles and keeping shelves clean/clear for easy future retrieval
Record daily incoming volume received and productivity of volume of work completed on a daily basis
Enter/updates the location of all patient records
Maintain knowledge of eCare's ADT Module to determine patient stays, discharges, etc.

Requirements

2 years of experience in medical record management or a related field
Entry-level experience level
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records (EHR)
