Job Description

Polamer Precision, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for optimizing and documenting all aspects of manufacturing processes to ensure quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and document manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes
  • Expertise in Blueprints and Engineering Source Approval
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques
  • Identify new equipment, tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times
  • Responsible for the delivery of tool kits direct to the machining centers
  • Champion the use of Process Controls to measure capability, reduce variability, and overall improve the quality of the product
  • Drive and support Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop, including process mapping, set-up time reduction, and overall waste reduction
  • Effectively use all process improvement strategies and techniques, including Lean and Six Sigma, to minimize waste and maximize economies
  • Manages customer-owned tooling and tooling manifests

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience using NX, Unigraphics, and SolidWorks Software, Mastercam
  • Knowledge of raw materials and mathematics: algebra, geometry, calculus, and geometry
  • Team leading ability and good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage one's time and time of the team
  • Ability to detect problems and identify new opportunities for improvement
  • Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or a related field
