Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Polamer Precision, Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for optimizing and documenting all aspects of manufacturing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and applying simpler, faster, cost-effective, and reliable methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and document manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes
- Expertise in blueprints and manufacturing knowledge of raw material control, manufacturing process, laboratory testing, heat treating, and other processes
- Responsible for the delivery of tool kits direct to the machining centers
- Champion the use of process controls to measure capability, reduce variability, and improve quality
- Drive and support Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop, including process mapping, set-up time reduction, and waste reduction
- Effectively use process improvement strategies and techniques, including Lean and Six Sigma, to minimize waste and maximize economies
- Manage customer-owned tooling and tooling manifests
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience using NX, Unigraphics, and SolidWorks software, Mastercam
- Knowledge of raw materials, mathematics (algebra, geometry, calculus), and team leading ability
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Familiarity with latest technologies and equipment used in manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage one's time and time of the team, detect problems, and propose new technology and/or program directions
