Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dosimetry Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to our Health Physics/Radiation Safety Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a legally mandated radiation exposure records system for Stanford University, Stanford Hospital and Clinics, and Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries and take appropriate action as required.
  • Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating conferences, seminars, and events.
  • Draft and/or generate routine communications and coordinate production and dissemination of documents.
  • Process and monitor routine financial transactions and maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • May serve as the point of contact for general maintenance, health and safety, and other facility concerns within the unit(s).
  • Ensure that the policies and procedures for the dosimetry program are carried out effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and three years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
  • Demonstrated success in following through and completing routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Absolute punctuality and reliability.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have a valid California Driver's License, or willingness and ability to obtain one.

The work environment is team-oriented, collaborative, deadline-driven, and dynamic. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
