About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Life Skills Coach. As a Life Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and living a dignified life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and support to clients during daily activities, such as outings and meal times.
  • Establish and maintain a safe environment in all settings, including facilities, vehicles, and public areas.
  • Encourage positive peer interactions and healthy socialization among clients.
  • Prompt clients for tasks of daily living and assist with medication administration as needed.
  • Redirect inappropriate behaviors and resolve conflicts using ABA professional behavioral health tactics and training.
  • Participate in ongoing trainings and staff meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Facilitate information exchange regarding clients with internal personnel and external support networks.
  • Track and document client progress and capture accurate case notes information.
  • Accompany clients on outings and engage in activities that promote their well-being.
Requirements
  • Current CPR Certification (we can provide resources to complete this)
  • Recent TB Test (we can provide resources to complete this)
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance (for roles that require driving)
  • Undergo federal and state fingerprint background check
