Key Responsibilities- Provide Personalized Support: Offer one-on-one support to individuals in various aspects of their lives, including personal care, daily living skills, and community integration.
- Develop and Implement Service Plans: Collaborate with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement personalized service plans that promote independence, self-advocacy, and community participation.
- Facilitate Skill Development: Assist individuals in acquiring new skills and knowledge to enhance their daily living, vocational, and recreational activities.
- Transportation and Community Access: Safely transport individuals to and from appointments, activities, and community events, promoting social connections and community integration.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of individual progress, service plans, and other relevant information, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is desirable; excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others are essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and adaptability skills; proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
