Your Role:

We are currently seeking an Environmental Planner who can work remotely within the U.S., preferably in the Rockies or Midwest Regions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers and teams to develop permitting documents and assist in environmental planning and permitting for renewable energy, natural gas, and electric projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers by preparing environmental permitting documentation and taking on the role of task lead or deputy project manager.
  • Draft documents for energy facility siting/routing, permitting, environmental field surveys, and resource assessments.
  • Collaborate with the team to create conditional use, land use, right-of-way, and other local jurisdictional permitting documents.
  • Act as a representative for clients before federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, boards, planning commissions, and councils.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate effectively with team members, and work independently.
  • Research and interpret federal, state, and local regulations to evaluate project permitting feasibility and requirements.
  • Exhibit strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, excellent communication (both oral and written), planning, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • A pre-employment drug screening in compliance with federal regulations is mandatory, along with a physical examination if necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a range of $50,000 - $95,000 per year. Factors influencing final pay include relevant work experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, and education.
