Your Role:

We are looking for an Environmental Planner who can work remotely within the U.S., preferably from the Rockies or Midwest Regions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers and teams to develop permitting documents and assist in environmental planning and permitting for renewable energy, natural gas, and electric projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers by preparing environmental permitting documentation and taking on the role of task lead or deputy project manager.
  • Draft documents for energy facility siting, permitting, environmental field surveys, and resource analyses.
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare local jurisdictional permitting efforts, including conditional use and land use applications.
  • Act as a representative for clients before federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, boards, and planning commissions.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in environmental planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate effectively with team members, and work independently.
  • Proficient in researching and interpreting regulations to assess project permitting feasibility.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 to $95,000 annually. Final pay will be determined based on various factors, including relevant experience, skills, and geographic location.
