French Instructor Position at Saint Mary's School

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced French instructor to join our faculty at Saint Mary's School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French language and culture courses to high school students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging and effective French language and culture courses, aligning with the school's academic program and curriculum standards.
- Classroom Management and Student Support: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, providing individualized support and accommodations for students as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with department chairs, colleagues, and academic leaders to ensure seamless curriculum implementation and effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning opportunities to stay current with best practices in language instruction and cultural competency.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Five years of teaching experience, with a proven track record of developing innovative and student-centered curriculum.
- Skills and Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a passion for girls' education.
- Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching Experience: Five years of teaching experience in independent high schools, with a focus on language instruction and cultural competency.
- Experience in Girls' Education: Previous experience working in an all-girls educational environment, with a demonstrated commitment to empowering young women.
- Work Environment: The successful candidate will work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled classroom environment, with occasional opportunities to participate in school events and activities.
- Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and walk up and down three flights of stairs daily.
