Preschool Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Primrose School of Hilburn. As a Preschool Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our young students.

• Classroom Management: Oversee the daily operations of a group of children, ensuring a safe and healthy environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Lesson Planning: Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
• Child Assessment: Continuously assess each child's developmental needs and adapt instruction to meet their individual requirements.
• Communication: Collaborate with parents and the Leadership Team to plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
• Classroom Maintenance: Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom that encourages children to explore, create, and make decisions with confidence.
• Behavioral Support: Provide clear and consistent expectations for children's behavior, while offering verbal recognition and acceptance.
• Teamwork: Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school functions, while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

• Education: A minimum of a 2-year degree in early childhood education or a related field, or equivalent teaching credentials.
• Experience: Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children, as well as the ability to lift up to 35 pounds in connection with child care and safety.
