About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subsurface Utility Engineering Specialist to join our team at T2 Utility Engineers. As a Senior Utility Locator, you will play a critical role in guiding and leading daily field crew operations to ensure comprehensive and accurate utility mapping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utility Mapping and Designation: Mastery in the operation of SUE utility locating and designation equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete detailed and accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both electronically and by hand.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train other crew members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Represent and communicate on behalf of T2ue with clients, subcontractors, and third parties during field activities.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Effectively maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings and perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members.
  • Commercial Motor Vehicle Operation: Drive commercial motor vehicles, with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Traffic Safety Setup: Direct safety setup for proper maintenance of traffic signage.
  • Equipment Inventory: Complete monthly equipment inventory for Supervisor reorder.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a SUE Field Technician II.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans, good oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license with a good driving record, ability to secure client-required identity verification, and ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 weeks continuous stay.
