Position Summary: As a construction inspector, you will play a crucial role in our Construction Services/Design Build Group, contributing to our Contract Administration team. This position offers both full-time and seasonal opportunities, depending on your experience and project demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting field observations and inspections to ensure project compliance.
  • Performing material sampling and testing to uphold quality standards.
  • Verifying adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Preparing pay estimates and generating comprehensive project documentation for various stakeholders.
  • Maintaining detailed records, including daily logs, quantity calculations, and supporting documents.
  • Assisting with surveying, project proposals, budgets, and schedules as needed.
  • Willingness to travel and fulfill responsibilities beyond the immediate area.
  • Engaging in various technical activities related to design-build and pavement management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in municipal, heavy civil roadway, and bridge construction inspection is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of construction inspection or related experience is required; 5+ years is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Material testing experience and relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and terrains typical of construction sites.
  • A two-year technical degree or a four-year degree in civil engineering construction is beneficial.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform tasks in various positions.

Work Environment: This role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, requiring physical stamina and the ability to navigate construction sites safely.
