Job Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector III to join our team. As a key member of our construction management group, you will be responsible for managing the observation, monitoring, and documentation of construction projects throughout the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project staff in their duties and track project progress and status
  • Work closely with owners, project management teams, contractors, and utilities to ensure project success
  • Perform and document job safety walks on a regular basis and ensure adherence to client Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs
  • Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues in coordination with QA/QC
  • Occasionally assist project staff in their duties and track project progress and status
Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a minimum of 4 years of comparable field experience
  • 5 years of related experience preferred
  • Experience working with utility and/or renewable energy projects, preferably utility-scale projects
  • Substation and electrical collection installation, or civil, road, and concrete experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and read and understand construction drawings and construction specifications/manuals
  • Ability to read and understand construction and procurement contracts and project schedules and Gantt charts
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office and Procore
  • Familiarity with GIS database systems and applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation/resolution and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with owners' representatives, contractors, vendors, and others on and off the job site
  • Ability to work approximately 100% in the field, nights, weekends, and more than 40 hours per week
