Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team at Blue Ridge Executive Search. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of MEP systems, including estimating support, subcontractor bid reviews, scheduling, project logistics, and constructability reviews. They will also be responsible for managing the owner-architect interface, reviewing trade partners estimates and costs, and participating in the development of full commissioning plans for all MEP systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems, as well as building automation systems and sequences.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimating support and subcontractor bid reviews
  • Scheduling and project logistics
  • Constructability reviews and MEP system coordination
  • Owner-architect interface management
  • Trade partners estimate and cost reviews
  • Full commissioning plan development
  • MEP system start-up, balancing, commissioning, and validation certification
  • Project closeout and owner training

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a MEP manager
  • Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering concepts and applicable codes
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Proficient in the use of current virtual design and construction software
  • Experience with CPM scheduling and lean pull planning processes
