Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team at Alphatec Spine. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development, testing, and documentation of medical electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist engineering teams with development, testing, and documentation of medical electronic systems
  • Work with development engineers and project teams to build and test prototype electronic circuits and systems
  • Assemble and rework printed circuit boards with fine-pitch SMT and through-hole components
  • Perform test procedures, write up data analysis, and summarize test results
  • Support quality teams with investigations and documentation
  • Maintain an organized electronics lab space and manage equipment calibration
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronic circuits, with significant experience in medical electronics
  • Expertise in building, modifying, testing, and diagnosing prototype circuits from engineering schematics and drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams, bills of material, and PCB fab and assembly documentation
  • Expertise with the use and operation of standard electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters
  • Capable of writing and executing test procedures and component/assembly specifications
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office tools and schematic capture and PCB layout CAD tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • AA degree in electronics technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with FDA GMP and ISO manufacturing and design control
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Alphatec Spine offers a competitive salary range of $32 to $38 per hour, depending on qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity.
