Electronics Technician

This is a challenging opportunity to work as an Electronics Technician with the US Pacific Fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to shipboard personnel in resolving complex electronics-related issues. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our electronic systems, including communication, navigation, and combat control systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical assistance and support to shipboard personnel in resolving complex electronics-related issues
* Conduct shipboard assessments of cognizant systems to identify and resolve problems
* Collaborate with Type Commanders and In-Service Engineering Activities (ISEA) to identify and resolve technical manual or work procedure issues
* Provide highly skilled technical engineering support services for complex shipboard Submarine Combat control systems, associated weapon launch systems, and various interfaces to other dependent systems
Requirements
* Must be a US Citizen
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
* New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Qualifications
* One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
* Experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing electronics technical services in support of shipboard weapons launch systems to include the testing and technical assistance for diagnosing and resolving problems during ship repair or overhaul activities
