About the Role
The Legislative Policy Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis of legislative actions affecting AF/A10's mission areas. This includes researching and compiling information on arms control activities, international sovereignty, national security policy, nuclear enterprise operations, acquisition, and C-WMD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a weekly legislative review/update on existing perspectives in Congress.
  • Research, compile, track, and maintain AF statements/postures connected to any/all AF/A10 mission area and responses to Congressional inquiry.
  • As requested, provide coverage of legislative processes to include hearings, committees, GAO Audits/reports, marks, committee markup activities, floor consideration, conference committee events and issues of interest.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree and six or more years of related experience or Master's degree and four years of related experience. Required skills include knowledge of the organization and functions of the Department of Defense, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work both independently and within a team. Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance required.
