Faculty Group Practice Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Faculty Group Practice team at NYU Langone Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist RNs in patient care tasks, adhering to NYS LPN scope of practice and NYULH policy.
- Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care, emphasizing understanding of patient challenges.
- Check vital signs, record medical history, and utilize specialized skills and safety protocols.
- Participate in patient-centered quality and performance improvement programs.
- Support the missions, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of NYULH.
- Collect patient healthcare data systematically and maintain current LPN knowledge and competence.
- Enforce adherence to NYULH and FGP policies and procedures.
- Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Engage in self-assessment and participate in activities to promote own professional growth and development.
- Obtain patient vital signs, weights, EKGs as needed, and perform blood collection/phlebotomy as needed.
- Administer medications, including injections, in accordance with NYULMC clinical guidelines and NYS Scope of Practice.
- Assist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Maintain an awareness of current patient-centered evidence-based practices and use knowledge of applicable research data in provision of patient care.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team and promote collegial relationships.
- Assist patients and communicate with licensed providers to obtain prescription renewals as needed.
- Graduate of LPN program with current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.
- Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual and aural acuity to perform responsibilities.
- BLS certification preferred.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
