Job Title: Systems Integration and Test Specialist

ManTech is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented LAN Systems Integration and Test Specialist to serve on a team of IT support professionals in Northern Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, install, and configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical expertise in the management of public and/or private networks, testing and analyzing network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters, and servers.
  • Install, support, and/or maintain LANs and/or WANs, evaluating and recommending networking product and software upgrades.
  • Perform technical analyses of software, hardware, and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations.
  • Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software.
  • Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions, exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams, working within broad guidelines and policies.

Requirements:

  • Able to work multiple projects with limited supervision, and ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in a busy environment.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions and work with customers in providing resolution.
  • Must be a self-starter and work with a clear and defined mission.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Microsoft Certified Professional Program, Cisco Network certification, or any other approved information technology certification and four (4+) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6+ years.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
  • Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.
