Job Summary

General Atomics and Affiliated Companies are seeking an experienced Electrical Integration and Test Engineer to join our Electromagnetic Systems group in Herndon, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for derived-requirements definition, system integration, test, and verification for spacecraft and associated flight-payload/ground electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical integration procedures for flight vehicle assembly and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required to successfully accomplish spacecraft integration, test, and development efforts.
  • Formulate test plans for component level, subsystem level, and system level testing, typically based on engineering ICDs, system requirement documentation, and program requirements.
  • Evaluate the integration of the engineering solution within the overall engineering environment and ensure that appropriate documentation, testing, maintenance, and engineering updates are completed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience.
  • 12 or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 10 or more years of experience with a master's degree, or 7 or more years with a PhD.
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with spacecraft integration and test.
  • Spacecraft operations experience.
  • Proficiency in C programming language.
  • Experience working within the Linux environment.
What We Offer

General Atomics and Affiliated Companies offer a competitive salary range of $116,480 - $208,505, travel percentage required, relocation assistance provided, and US citizenship required.
