Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist III to join our team at First Solar. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional-level HR support to our manufacturing operations, working closely with HR management and senior generalists to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Operations Management: Manage the day-to-day HR operations, including administration of policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Employee Relations: Facilitate communication between associates and managers, providing HR guidance and support to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution of issues.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Administer the onboarding and offboarding process, including recruitment, leave cases, and employment status changes.
  • HR Support: Provide a one-stop shop for HR support, partnering with associates and managers to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of our business operations, attending meetings and conducting management by walking around to stay informed.
  • Associate Morale: Keep a pulse on associate morale, actively conducting management by walking around and communicating concerns appropriately.
  • Employee Relations Coaching: Coach managers on associate issues and bring them to resolution, ensuring documentation is complete.
  • Employment Law Compliance: Provide expert guidance and training to managers on employment laws, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Partner with business areas on compensation evaluations, promotions, and department restructuring.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain accurate HR records and files, ensuring timely submission of information and paperwork to corporate HR functional areas.
  • Recruitment Support: Work with Requisitioning Managers and First Solar's Recruiting Team to coordinate and facilitate the recruitment process.
  • Employee Communications: Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and company policy.
  • Compliance and Audits: Conduct compliance requests, such as audits, ensuring appropriate follow-up and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously find ways to improve processes and systems, participating in planning and implementation of team and personal goals.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Compile and analyze data for reports, auditing to ensure data integrity.
  • Industry Research: Actively research HR industry trends and benchmark successful programs.
  • Administrative Support: Perform basic financial and operational administrative duties, such as purchase requests and invoice management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in human resources, with a proven track record in employee relations and HR operations management.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and procedures; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
