Reliability Lab Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Lab Supervisor to join our team at First Solar. As a key member of our reliability team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our lab, supervising technicians, and developing processes to improve testing throughput and quality.

• Supervise reliability lab operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
• Develop and implement operational systems to improve safety and lab throughput.
• Responsible for ensuring all tests are complete as per the schedule, including sample acquiring, testing, and data entry.
• Acquire test priority from multiple business groups and execute testing based on priority.
• Develop and maintain technician training programs, including writing and updating work instructions.
• Responsible for enforcing procedures and applying disciplinary action as needed.
• Assist in auditing lab processes for compliance and support daily lab operation issues.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) with minimum 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing or lab environment, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervision or leadership experience.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Database experience.
• Proven ability to train and develop associates.
• Proven ability to develop and implement operational systems to improve safety and throughput.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage employees.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices and environmental, health, and safety requirements.

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day, climb stairs occasionally, and exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push, or pull on a seldom basis.
