Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of our clients, and we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Intake Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team in Washington, DC.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to oversee the intake process, including scheduling appointments, completing intake paperwork, and ensuring timely communication with all relevant team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance-based programs and prior experience explaining insurance coverage and benefits to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance coverage and help clients and families understand their benefits, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their financial responsibilities.
  • Act as a liaison between the program and clients' families, clearly explaining the program's structure, services, and insurance details.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine appropriate care plans.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to determine the appropriate course of treatment for each client.
  • Oversee the intake process, including scheduling appointments, completing intake paperwork.
  • Record and maintain detailed, confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies regarding patient information and treatment protocols.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related program in psychology required.
  • State licensure in social work or counseling required.
  • At least 1-3 years of related experience in clinical settings with adolescents or young adults.
  • Strong organizational skills with a passion for handling administrative tasks, including client data management, intake paperwork, and scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of insurance-based programs and prior experience explaining insurance coverage and benefits to clients.
