We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care, managing case loads, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the care of pediatric oncology patients from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.
- Participate in daily rounds and use clinical judgment to identify discharge readiness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to pediatric patients and their families about the diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effects.
- Assist families in navigating the healthcare system, addressing concerns, and accessing additional resources.
- BSN degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in managed care and case management.
- Skills in pediatric oncology, case management, and administration of chemotherapy.
This is a clinical non-direct care RN position with a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. Our team is committed to providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes.
