Role Summary

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing essential clerical and administrative support to food service operations. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel records and sensitive information.
  • Assist management in preparing confidential documents related to employment and labor relations.
  • Support staffing efforts by coordinating coverage for unexpected absences.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, school staff, and supervisors.
  • Keep accurate records of students eligible for meal assistance programs.
  • Input weekly sales and meal counts into the computer system.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of bank deposits.
  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in pricing and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements.
  • Prepare state claim forms for reimbursement on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in generating end-of-month financial reports.
  • Participate in required training and safety meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
