Job Description

Job Summary:

The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a highly motivated and engaged Business Support Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall culture and advancement of the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute and C3 Orthopaedics Initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administratively lead the clinical, teaching, and learner aspects of an Orthopaedic Division
  • Manage weekly coverage schedules, monthly call scheduling, and part-time employee management
  • Partner with Medical Education group for division's resident/fellow/medical student needs
  • Provide data reporting for division and act as a liaison for the division's clinicians
  • Assist in maintaining and tracking clinicians' credentialing/licensing, CV's, board certifications, continuing medical education units, etc.
  • Collaborate with research and departmental leaders to grow division
  • Aid in clinic as necessary by completing orders and booking surgeries

Requirements:

  • An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired

Working Conditions:

Typically, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with the ability to be flexible when needs arise.
