Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Abuse Specialist to join our team at the Institute for Community Living, Inc. In this role, you will work under the general supervision of the Team Leader/Program Director and provide integrated mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and experience in providing direct services to individuals with mental disabilities. A valid CASAC or CASAC-T is required for this position. You will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating counseling efforts with mental health professionals and other healthcare providers.

  • Assess clients' mental and physical health status, identifying areas of need and developing strategies for improvement.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs and goals.

  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on topics such as addiction, mental health, and recovery.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate services.

  • Participate in case conferences and staff meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
