Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Family Therapy Counseling

• At least one year of experience working in a community-based setting with adolescents and/or adults experiencing co-occurring Substance Use Disorder and Mental Illness

• Extensive knowledge of harm reduction and a commitment to providing services to individuals in various stages of their recovery

• Possession of a NYS LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or a mental health practitioner with a Limited Permit

• Ability to obtain QHP - Qualified Health Professional status within 90 days of employment if hired with a limited permit

• General understanding of Family Systems and familiarity working with diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds

• Competency in written, interpersonal, verbal, and computational skills to present and document records in accordance with program standards

• Knowledgeable about federal, state, and local law and regulation governing substance abuse treatment programs
