Job Summary:

The Administrative Director of the Emergency Services Department is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care in the Emergency Services Department, Free Standing Emergency Department, Emergency Management, and/or other departments as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement solutions to problems affecting the service
  • Participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees
  • Advance the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department
  • Coach and develop immediate subordinates
  • Adhere to Human Resource policies
  • Communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff
  • Facilitate evidence-based employee engagement practices
  • Build strong relationships and networks to deliver organizational and departmental goals
  • Participate in employee and patient rounding and identify potential future leaders
  • Enforce standards of emergency department care and develop processes to measure compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required
  • 3+ years of experience in emergency services required
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role required
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $132,828 - $199,222 per year, plus bonus incentives.
