The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and a proven track record of effective leadership. Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily functions of the emergency department, ensuring efficient patient flow and adherence to quality standards.
  • Clinical Excellence: Implement and monitor evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and care outcomes. Manage compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Patient Experience: Drive initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care. Analyze patient feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop a team of healthcare professionals. Ensure clinical competencies are maintained and aligned with patient care demands.
  • Strategic Input: Work collaboratively with senior management to align departmental goals with hospital strategy. Participate in policy development and review to optimize operational efficiency and care quality.
  • Resource Management: Manage departmental resources, including staff scheduling and equipment maintenance, to ensure optimal support of healthcare services.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse with a current license. BLS certification is required upon hire; ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.
  • Experience: Proven leadership experience in an emergency room setting, with strong operational and management skills. Experience in a similar leadership role, managing evening or night shifts, preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
