Job Title: Behavioral Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Aide to join our team at Maxim Healthcare Services in Discovery Bay. As a Behavioral Aide, you will work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors, providing one-to-one-behavior intervention services and supporting daily program activities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
  2. Assist with daily program activities, including self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, and behavior interventions
  3. Support clients with personal care activities, such as bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation, and dressing
  4. Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
  • Current in-person CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Children
  • Updated TB test
  • College coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred
