Job Title: Memory Care Partner/Caregiver

About the Role:

As a Memory Care Partner/Caregiver at Senior Carlton Living Inc, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our seniors and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support caregivers in their daily tasks and responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient care delivery process.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, including covering caregiver shifts and ensuring resident rounds are completed.
  • Monitor and identify training opportunities for care staff, reporting to your supervisor as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with the care team, sharing concerns and issues with the Personal Care Manager or Director of Resident Services.
  • Verify that staff adheres to company policies and procedures, teaching by example and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Monitor resident service plans and task sheets, ensuring care partners understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Interact with residents as needed, redirecting disruptive behavior to prevent injury to themselves and others.
  • Document and communicate physical and mental changes in residents, as well as unusual behaviors, to facilitate assessment and care planning.
  • Attend to routine care needs, including personal care and daily tasks.
  • Investigate family concerns and communicate with the Director of Resident Services or Executive Director as needed.
  • Understand and enforce universal resident care, safety precautions, and infection control practices.
  • Verify daily task sheets are completed and submitted before the next shift begins.
  • Conduct regular building checks to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Perform administrative duties as requested by your supervisor.
  • Understand and respond to emergency protocols as trained.

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One month of related experience or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CNA certification preferred but not required
  • Competent in medication administration and able to answer medical provider or family medication questions
  • Able to assume responsibility for medication rooms

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Current First Aid Certification
