Job Title: Senior EI&C Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EI&C Project Engineer to join our team at National Client of Temp A Veteran LLC. As a key member of our Engineering and Maintenance department, you will be responsible for providing engineering and technical services to operations and service units to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and collaborate with fellow Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) Engineering counterparts to ensure safe operating conditions and regulatory compliance of production units.
  • Consult and support capital projects executed by project engineering, participate in the commissioning of new and modified production units, and participate in the planning and execution of system or unit turnarounds.
  • Maintain asset data in enterprise asset management and plant engineering system(s), keep documentation and equipment records up to date, and support the maintenance team in planning and executing ITPM and MRO activities.
  • Develop and support the development of specifications and standards, supervise third-party providers for engineering and maintenance services, and represent Wacker's interests toward suppliers and contractors.
  • Plan and execute small-size investment projects, conduct and coordinate de-bottlenecking and troubleshooting activities, and support process and technology transfer and exchange between Wacker's polysilicon production sites.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and cost.
  • Collaborate with groups and individuals within the Engineering and Maintenance department, within Operations, and within other service units, with a focus on achieving optimal results and solutions from a corporate enterprise perspective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation, Automation, or Controls Engineering) or Chemical Engineering degree with solid controls and 480V experience or equivalent/related education.
  • 4+ years in chemical and oil/gas industries (or similar industrial experience).
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a preferred plus, but not required: Emerson delta V, SAP EAM, Functional Safety, Comos.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong multitasking competency, objective judgment, and fact-based decision-making approach.
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams, capability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirements, and ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure.
  • Team player attitude and basic understanding of chemical and physical processes.
  • Thorough technical knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, instrumentation, and controls (EI&C), including relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operation/maintenance of 480V equipment, such as motors and motor control centers (MCCs).
