Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Design: Assist in planning, designing, and facilitating civil engineer project design tasks, ensuring that work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Technical Studies and Collaboration: Undertake technical and feasibility studies, collaborate with other professionals, and discuss requirements with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Design and Development: Use computer programs to develop detailed designs, possess working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, and civil engineering design tasks.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Handle basic issues and problems, refer complex issues to higher-level staff, and possess strong team collaboration, oral and written communication, design expertise, and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel and Work Environment: This position requires local/regional travel, with an expectation of 20-40% travel time (1-2 days per week as needed for project-related work/occasional overnight travel).
Requirements
  • Education: S. or M.S. Engineering degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Certification: Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification.
