Project Engineer Associate

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer Associate provides technical and administrative support to project teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions. This role involves troubleshooting engineering-related installation problems and working closely with supervisors to solve problems of limited scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process submittals and RFI's
  • Keep track of daily work tickets and post RFI's and change orders
  • Manage change orders and maintain as-builts
  • Document project issues and conditions
  • Submit hours and cost codes
  • Obtain permits, badges, and access requests
  • Assist with preparing change orders and manage project libraries
  • Participate in KPR (Key Project Review)

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably from an ABET accredited program)
  • Ability to pass a drug test and possess good vision (may be corrected)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and view computer screens

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to view a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push, pull, or lift equipment or supplies routinely encountered in an office environment
  • Ability to access work areas that are accessible only by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladders or stairs that are under construction

Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
