Job Title: Site Civil Project Engineer

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Site Civil Project Engineer to join our Land Development team in Leesburg, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating all Land Development design aspects, working closely with Senior Project Managers and jurisdictional staff, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate all Land Development design aspects, including client communication, budget oversight, and responsibility.
  • Work closely with Senior Project Managers and jurisdictional staff to ensure project success.
  • Mentor junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare and review engineering analyses, cost estimates, and quality control/quality assurance reports.
  • Establish milestones and completion dates for projects and monitor progress.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or proven equal experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience directly related to the design and execution of Land Development Projects.
  • PE in the State of Virginia preferred.
  • Experience with Northern Virginia land development projects preferred.
  • Strong technical capabilities in various software applications, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and Dewberry-specific software programs.
