Job Summary

DISH is seeking a highly skilled Staff Device Hardware Engineer to join our Wireless Technology organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge wireless devices that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for RF OTA, Front End, and Power Management within DISH Wireless Device/Network organization.
  • Create and manage 5G device requirements, test plans, and features for Antenna and Battery performance.
  • Design, test, optimize, and implement compact antenna solutions for 5G Cellular, WLAN, Bluetooth, and IEEE.
  • Experience with regulatory processes (FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, GCF) and Device compliance certification for RF OTA (TRP/TIS) and SAR.
  • Work closely with third-party testing vendors, OEMs, Network Engineering, and Roaming partners to align device/network performance with DISH Wireless objectives.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in the wireless telecom industry with a service provider and/or device OEM in antenna and RF Circuit design/simulation
  • 5+ years in deep technical role, as an engineer/architect, R&D systems, product management and/or related area
  • Strong knowledge of device requirements, test plans, and end-to-end solutions for 4G/5G architecture across RAN and Core networks
  • Familiarity with 3GPP & GSMA standards and associated 4G/5G Radio Access Networking technologies
  • Proficiency with 4G/5G device services and associated device chipset and core networking architectures and technologies
