Position Overview:
We are in search of a passionate Vocational Support Coordinator to become part of our team. The Vocational Support Coordinator assesses program candidates and aids in their transition to meaningful employment. This role entails gathering information through interviews and assessments, as well as networking to collect employer data. Your contributions will directly assist individuals with IDD in reaching their vocational aspirations and enhancing their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Assessment:
Evaluate candidates by conducting interviews, reviewing documentation, and recording findings.

Profile Creation:
Create client interest inventory profiles and evaluate vocational preferences.

Support Services:
Aid candidates with transportation and other necessary support services.

Opportunity Discovery:
Identify services and opportunities in the candidate's desired work area.

Skill Evaluation:
Assess candidate skills and document all acquired information.

Job Alignment:
Gather and document information regarding available positions, and cultivate relationships with employers and public agencies.

Job Development:
Explore the community for job openings, coordinate interviews, develop resumes, job leads, applications, and identify training opportunities.

Progress Monitoring:
Monitor the progress of employees once employed and conduct satisfaction assessments for both employees and employers.

Documentation:
Ensure compliance with CARF standards, complete documentation for invoicing, and provide monthly updates to relevant counselors.

Networking:
Engage with the community to create job opportunities for candidates.

Qualifications:

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, vocational rehabilitation, labor relations, social work, human services, or a related field is required.

Experience:
A background in employment, staffing, or business development is preferred. Experience in social services is advantageous.

Skills:
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with adults with disabilities. Capacity to teach and coach positively.

Requirements:
Reliable transportation for local travel, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check.
