Job Overview

At House of Mufflers & Brakes Total Car Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Liaison Specialist to join our team. As a liaison between customers and service technicians, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term relationships with our valued clients.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting customers, listening to their requests, scheduling appointments, estimating costs, verifying insurance, conducting inspections, and test driving cars. You will also ensure customer satisfaction by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues and problems, determining the repair timeline, and communicating effectively with technicians to convey customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and direct them to available mechanics
  • Consult with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs
  • Use your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers
  • Answer questions about service outcomes and schedule appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up
  • Provide customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings, and the advantages of fixing versus selling their car
  • Call customers to advise them about service changes or car pick-up times
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Ensure all details on services rendered and costs are communicated to customers and process their payments
  • Liaise with service technicians about parts ordering and ensure parts are available when needed

Requirements

  • Experience in the automotive field is essential
  • ASE Certification is a plus
  • Strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry
  • Proficiency with industry-specific software
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with mechanics, customers, and management
