Restorative Care Specialist

Job Summary:
The Restorative Aide position at Cantex Continuing Care Network is designed to provide restorative and rehabilitative care to patients. This role involves assisting in the provision of regular patient care, promoting independence, and supporting the overall well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients in a safe and comfortable manner.
- Assist in the provision of restorative or rehabilitative care, including ambulation, range of motion, and self-feeding.
- Promote and support patient independence.
- Advises Patient Care Coordinator of patient status daily.
- Contributes knowledge of patient conditions/needs to patient care plans.
- Assists in the implementation of care plans as directed.
- Observes and reports on patient conditions and documents observations as required.
- Promotes a safe and clean environment.
- Complies with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients.
- Assists in care and maintenance of therapy area and equipment.
- Attends in-service training programs and monthly Quality Assurance Meetings.
- Responsible for monthly and weekly weights.
- Attends weekly rehab meetings.
- Ability to function as a Team Leader/Role Model.
- Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employee's responsibility to enforce it.
- Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
- Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- State certification as a Nursing Assistant is mandatory.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
