The Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team as an Accountant. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this critical role will play a key part in the financial accounting and reporting functions of PAC NYC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance and accounting team to ensure timely and accurate management of accounting processes, contributing to the efficient and compliant financial management of PAC NYC.
  • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month-end close activities, including revenue data entry, accounts payable, and reconciliation of income and balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee and post daily financial transactions, including contributed and earned income revenue, credit card sales, staff credit card expenses, payroll, and deposit preparation.
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and meet weekly with the Development Operations manager to reconcile Spektrix and NetSuite programs.
  • Assist in audit preparation and 990 tax return compliance, and provide backup support for ADP payroll processing as required.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Non-Profit organization experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in an accounting or related role
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a critical position as part of a small team
  • Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and technologically savvy
  • Prior experience using financial software, with experience working in NetSuite a plus

Compensation and Benefits

PAC NYC offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000, plus full benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and disability benefits, as well as self-insured dental, vision, and health care and dependent day care flexible spending accounts.

Work Location and Requirements

The position will begin as 100% in-office during the training period, followed by a hybrid schedule of two remote and three in-office days per week. Remote work-day schedule subject to change.
