Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic accountant to join our team as a Staff Accountant. This role will focus on collaborating with the Controller and management to ensure proper accounting and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the accounting team with month-end entries and financial close
  • Update and maintain monthly balance sheet schedules and allocations
  • Track and record accounts receivables
  • Prepare, monitor and analyze firm's net capital computations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Syndicate, Trading, Finance, Compliance) to gather necessary data for reporting
  • Assist in regulatory examinations and annual audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience within a broker-dealer or financial services firm
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Knowledge of broker-dealer operations, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements

Skills

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Compensation

The target total fixed compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
