Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This includes preparing and maintaining financial records, assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, and handling accounts payable and receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
    • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliations
    • Manage and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Tax Compliance
    • Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and compliance reports.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing analysis and insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the entertainment industry or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
