Job Summary

Overview:

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and meetings at our Conference Center. This includes setting up meeting rooms, maintaining accurate furniture inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up meeting rooms according to client requirements
  • Maintain accurate furniture inventory and highlight inventory requirements to Managers and Planners
  • Perform daily walkthroughs of the Conference Center to ensure spaces are well-maintained, organized, and clean
  • Check rooms against work orders for accuracy on a daily basis
  • Highlight issues to Managers and Planners, such as furniture repairs
  • Ensure each conference room is equipped with standard supplies
  • Check Conference Center equipment frequently to ensure all is operational
  • Set each room with standard prop sets and refresh rooms as required throughout the day
  • Follow direction of Manager and Conference Planners regarding client agendas
  • Direct clients to appropriate meeting rooms as required
  • Assist clients with furniture requests before and during meetings
  • Work a flexible daily schedule, including weekends, depending on business demands
  • Remain accommodating to all clients during a rapidly changing environment
  • Focus on maintaining strong customer service skills

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
