Position Overview:

The Radnor Township School District is anticipating a vacancy for the role of Registered Behavior Technician at the Elementary Level. This position is essential in providing support to students with special needs through the application of behavioral strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification is required (or the ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • Education: A high school diploma is mandatory; a minimum of 2 years of college education is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques to support student learning.
  • Provide direct support to students, either individually or in groups, to facilitate skill development and behavior management.
  • Monitor and document student behavior through data collection.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to assist in the execution of positive behavior support strategies.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
  • Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors.
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of students in the areas of social, emotional, and behavioral learning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: The hourly rate will be determined in accordance with the bargaining agreement.
